Designed for use during the warmer months of the year (Spring/Summer or dry seasons), the Forest School Warm Weather Curriculum let’s you and your family get outdoors and freely explore all that Mother Nature has to offer.
This 12-week STEAM-focused program is ideal for ages 5-10, but adapted easily to any age group, and easily adjusted to any group size – from an individual family to a weekly communal meeting group. Each week centers around a particular theme and offers resources for a themed reading, individual exploration, various activities, and a closing Q&A. Each activity explores different subject areas – such as art, music, science, storytelling, mathematics, geography, engineering, etc. This gives children the opportunity to explore what they are most interested in learning and investigating throughout the warmer seasons.
The themes have been chosen to help the children develop a love and respect for the forest. To see the beauty in the giant trees and the tiny spiderwebs, and to feel a connection so deep that they grow up to be good stewards of their world. Skills such as team building and connection will be emphasized.
